The prices of the food, drinks, and accommodation of the tea shops or the hotels in the lower altitudes are cheaper comparatively to the hotels run in higher altitude.

Apart from the prices being mix up, there are no complaints about the quality and quantity of the food and drinks. Here you can find the food as Nepali as it can get and also as American as it can get.

For Nepali food lovers, they have the best Nepali KhanaThali. It can also be called a Dal Bhat set served with rice, lentils, different vegetables, curry, and meat (only if you are non-vegetarian), with some pickles, yogurt, and pappad on the side.

Apart from the Nepali dishes, many hotels also serve momo (dumplings), chowmin, pizza, burgers, French fries, pasta, macaroni, etc. The best food which is famously popular in the Valley is Yak products. Mostly the Yak cheese and Yak milk are favored by all of the visitors here.
